As of December 7, 2022, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has acceded to the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961 on the Abolition of the Legalization of Foreign Public Documents. As a result, it is no longer necessary for the Embassy of Italy in Riyadh to legalize Saudi public documents to be enforced in Italy, which must instead be exclusively apostilled.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the body responsible for issuing the Apostille, to which users are invited to refer for further information on the procedure to follow.
