In order to enable Italy’s participation in international peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is authorized, pursuant to Article 23-ter, paragraph 2, of Presidential Decree No. 18/1967, to award financial contributions to initiatives proposed by Italian and foreign private entities. These contributions are granted through a public procedure, in full compliance with the principles of transparency and equal treatment.
With regard to the allocation of grants under the relevant appropriations earmarked for 2025, as established by the resolutions adopted by the Council of Ministers on February 19, 2025, and currently undergoing the procedures provided for by Law No. 145/2016, the Directorate General for Global Affairs (DGMO), the Directorate General for Political and Security Affairs (DGAP), and the Directorate General for Europe and International Trade Policy (DGUE) have issued public notices regarding the disbursement of these contributions.
