Electronic Identity Card (CIE)

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Embassy of Italy informs Italian citizens registered in AIRE that they may apply for the Electronic Identity Card (CIE) at this Consular Section.

The CIE is an innovative personal identity document featuring advanced technologies to ensure its security and authenticity.

PLEASE NOTE

You may apply for the CIE at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Italy in Riyadh only after your AIRE municipality of residence has processed your registration (initial registration, or any change in consular jurisdiction or residential address). Registration or the updating of your registry details must be completed prior to your appointment date via the FAST IT website.

CONSENT FORM FOR ISSUANCE OF DOCUMENTS FOR MINORS

To issue documents for minors, consent signed by both parents (or by the person(s) exercising parental responsibility) is required. A signed atto di assenso (consent form) is necessary only if one of the parents (an EU citizen) is not present on the day of the appointment. In such cases, the consent form must be submitted on the day of the appointment, accompanied by a copy of the absent parent’s passport.
